Campervan breathable covers

Hi,
Anyone got any experience of those breathable van covers that you can get from Justcampers or VW Heritage?
My mates on about getting one but has been told that they can cause damage and trap condensation even though they are breathable.
Just wanted to know if anyone is using one at the moment and wat they thought of it.
