So What do You Think

Hello All, I have had my T25 1.7 D for about 18 months now and spent first 6 months welding and painting and chuffed with end result and she has been well used since. Anyway until now I had not done anything to the engine apart from oil/filter change. Now then I just changed the diesel filter and the old one had a date on it 1991 !!! She is now a lot quieter and runs smoother...........I think it has made a lot of difference but it could be me as I only have to put a bit of air in the tyres and convince myself it handles better. It always starts very well and gives 30+ to the gallon. Would it make that much difference?
Happy motoring all[/b]

if your old filter was 15 years overdue then yes it could make the diffence, more fuel getting through can actually mean the engine is not trying to work harder to compensate for the lack of fuel!
