weatherproof van covers

I've decided to lay up the Whitestar over the winter months to concentrate my efforts on the Reimo, (and not tear a*** around in the Tdi  )
and after the last time the van stood still for 6 months I've seen the damage the weather and mildew can do.

I've found two different manufacturers/sellers of van covers:

the JK one at around £105 delivered, probably a dedicated product but no doubt built cheaply in China or somewhere, like all JK stuff pretty much nowadays.

Speedwell star sell one thats around £20 cheaper and mentions an Oxford fabric that sounds like it does what the JK one does but has a fleece inner..mmm luxury for your wheels!....

Has anyone got one of either, or have any experience of either?

Aye, our JK cover is top quality too. Again had it a couple of years, no problems at all. Easy to take off and put on. Keeps the bod sh-it off

Have to park our van pretty close to a privit hedge and even after a few days the 'green' starts to show on the side of the van :x The JK cover stops this completely :D

john i'd also get a small oil filled rad and put that in the van on very low , just to keep the damp out of the interior

I have used a 14-17 foot breathable caravan cover for the last couple of winters which I got from fleabay for about £100. At the beginning of the year I found that most of the straps had broken away from the fabric and there were various tears and holes in it.

I have just sent for one from -

Will let you know if the quality is any better when I receive it.

thanks for your replies guys,

ended up being lucky enough to borrow a JK cover, and it appears very good, particularly the door openings! It is a fairly tight fit though over the big bumpers!

Good tip Mark about the heater, will keep a check on the moldy belts syndrome etc!
:D
