Removing tint from windows

I've been removing the tint film off the side windows, but the glue stays firmly stuck to the glass. Used a stanley blade to scrape glue off, but don't know what to use on the rear window as i don't want to damage the rear heated screen. Has anybody got any suggestions on what solvents would do the job

Very hot soapy water, and some heat, maybe use a hair dryer

Denatured alcohol or methylated spirits, from the chemists/hardware shop

I used cellulose thinners and got as high as a kite.
Make sure you have plenty of ventilation and do it on a cool day.

Although not the most powerful product you will find Isopropolalchohol (IPA*) safest to start with then move on through white spirit, petrol etc. untill you get up to celulose thinners and in the death (probably of the heater element) paint stripper. Where there is no heater element use a safety rasor blade dipped in squeezy and this will stop it sticking on everythinh or stretching out like snot.
Trust me I am a nutter Tefal man!
