What is the most straight forward engine swap?

Considering both petrol an diesel options, I was wondering what were the most straight forward of all the many engine conversions available with a T25?

Are there any simple 'bolt in options'?

I was intrigued to see on CJ's stand at vanfest a Syncro fire vehicle fitted with a Volvo 2.3?

Thanks in anticipation

I went down all avenues before settling on a 1.9td aaz. It's not a massive increase in power from the 1.6td but it is certainly noticable, it's quieter and has plenty of omph. The swap is cheap and easy to do, I got mine done at Syncro Nutz in Scotland it came in at just under £2k and was done in 2 days. The aaz is becoming more difficult to find these days that's why I went to Nutz as they can get hold of them easier. It's my intention to go tdi at some point but I'll stick to the aaz for now.
