Fitting info for front indicators with 2 bulbs in each one.

Not sure if this is a technical or modified question.

New clear indicators for front of my van arrived today. no fitting instructions.

they have 2 bulbs (orange) in each lens. one normal size and a smaller (peanut?) bulb set at an angle.

The smaller bulb has a pair of wires (about a foot long) attached, so I wired them to the contacts for the larger bulbs. All works fine. just wondering if they are supposed to have their own feed or if this is what was intended?

Its a side marker light, can wire it into the sidelights if you want to. Makes them glow dim orange when the lights are on. Some people fit white bulbs instead or leave them unwired; depends what "look" you like.

Wireing them both as indicators won't do any harm but you probubly wouldn't notice the little bulbs working as they aren't very bright. (~4W instead of 21W)

Fanks Glen. I'm going to leave them wired to the main indicators cos it's wot they're for. not sure about having a permanent amber light on the front is a good idea....a clear one sure, but amber.....hmmmmmm....

ta for the reply,

Going to leave it all amber for now as it's a good thing to have better indicators.
