a word of advice.if you have never changed the filter in your atf box.then think of doing it.(vw or brickwerks sell them for just over a fiver)my van started to change gear erratically.then one day.it wouldnt change at all.so i thought/hoped.it might be a clogged filter.so when i had a look.the filter looked like this.bits of it had been sucked up into the oilways.stopping it from working.luckily i had a spare box.i will be checking the filter every couple of years from now on...

Ahhhh, perhaps I'll do that one at the same time.
