Does that mean he gets them cheeper, he knows they are "pooh" or knows they are still about to run out?
What is VW Classic parts? Does it work through dealers? Is it just a way of publisising old stock they still have so they can make sure it runs out, make an atempt at pretending to care for old models or is it actully useful? If VW used their weight to surply important things then its good though the way everything seems to be going obsolete from dealers how does it help?
Land-Rover started a classic parts dept a couple of years ago but from what I've herd its still expencive and quality isn't up to NOS so its just overpriced aftermarket stuff, better to buy from independant specalists. Its main use seems to be for the PR department to show the brand more in touch with its history which helps sell new ones. Personly I've never used it as my landy is "too old" for them to stock bits for it - remind me what a classic is! Maybe they worked out I wouldn't trade it in for a new one even if I had the money so I'm a lost course on their PR.

I'm trying to establish a working relationship with classicparts.de but without much success at the mo, we really need VWG UK to have a dedicated point of contact with them but I don't think I'll be able to persuade them of that though I am trying.
