shorter shocks

hey guys,
i have seriously lowered my bus and have issues with the rear springs not locating when jacked up on a ramp, so crap myself every time i go over a big bump. It would have to be a fairly dukes of hazzard style hump for the springs to move, but still... bit scary.
I figure shorter shockers on the back will stop the rear arms from dropping down so much when the bus is jacked up, just wondering if anyone has any ideas of which shocks to use.
thanks
joe

Fu*k me! how short are the springs?

Have you done some kind of 'cut and shut' job on them or have you gone down the Cavalier route?

I can't see how they can 'pop out' under normal driving situations though.

The springs are 50mm ebay jobbies, and silly me got bored and cut a ring and a half off to level her out.

We welded a larger diameter 'locator' around the lower bump stop on the lower arm but when i put the van on the 2 post ramp at work the spring has play at the top.

Shorter shocks would stop the arm from dropping down so far when on the ramp but just wondered if anyone knows of an ideal shock to use.

The reason for my querie is come MOT time i'd kinda like to sort it just incase the tester decides to put it on the 2 poster.
