you changing to thei injectionsystem, or running with the carb?
We changed to the 2.1 with the carb (running LPG)
What to expect.......the unexpected!
we had an early water system, so had some issues with that....some of the pipes are different.
The thermostat housing for the 2.1 is different, so if your 2.1 has an oil cooler, make sure you get the donors thermostat housing, or you won't be able to plum the cooler in. (reportedly no 2.1 housings left anywhere)
Sure those more in the know will be along with their stories...but there is tons in technical about this - a search with a cuppa should keep you occupied for hours!

I've changed from early dg to late dj using the early water system., i have also fitted the oil cooler but you will need the Two metal pipes from the donor engine as well as the Two small rubber ones that attach to them.
I have also kept the carb as mine runs LPG.

cheers guys,i have 2 t25's at the moment, the donor(2.1dj) has a 1.9 carb on it and drives very well.this is the reason i want to change, the engine sounds sweet as pulls much better than the 1.9dg i have in my best van.i will go and have a look at the 2.1 at what else is different.cheers again, ben

No, everything is still the old system but i plumbed the oil cooler in between the pipe that comes from the vaporiser (i know your're on LPG too so you will have the same) and where it returns back into the metal pipe on top of the engine by the temp sensor.
I must add if you have the later water system but a 1.9 'stat housing then what i have done is of no use to you.
I'm selling the old 2.1 housing on EBAY at the moment if you need one.
