My milometer is sitting on my desk right and front of me. Speedo works ok but not mileometer. Looked through previous threads and no cogs or shafts appear adrift and basically want to strip it down to isolate. Where should I start? Anyone done this job?

its normally just the blue cog on the end that is slipping on the shaft in all the ones i have looked at, a small blob of superglue seemed to do the job......

You are indeed right Mocki although cog in mine is white rather than blue.

Incidentally, the numbers were that black, they needed cleaning and since I couldn't reach them without taking it completely to bits I resorted to washing whole speedo in warm soapy water and drying thoroughly with a hairdryer. Nice and clean, and all working again.

I fixed mine by using a 'blob' of blue Loctite (bearing lock) applied using an instrument screwdriver, on the end of the shaft to the metal gear

I've been using this Loctite on my model heli's for a while now and it's never let me down yet
