I have never noticed a difference using injector cleaner, but it cant hurt, I have used it many times, and Renault use it as standard in their servicing. If your injectors are gummed up you will be getting poor performance, and the cleaner will help. Shell V Power has similar qualities, costs less for a fill up than using standard 95 plus a cleaner. Thats what I use, as it keeps the tank and engine nice and clean.
It's only the lawnmower which seems to enjoy and benefit from a redex type treatment as far as I can tell.

'FORTE' brand always gets a good press , ive used it and does appear to work (slightly smoother tickover , smoother acceleration) dunno if its psychological but i feel it helps!
i always take the filter off (on a diesel) and fill it up with neat cleaner , give it a few footfulls and some "pooh" does come out the back . put the rest in the tank.
V-power or BP ultimate does appear to have very good cleaning properties.from personnal experience i had a lammy SX and did my own experiment . took head off and had a shuftie , put head back on and ran from weymouth to woolacombe (scooter rally) and back . by Honiton it was smoking like a bar-steward. stripped head the following week and the difference was amazing.(unfortunately didnt take pics). well worth it IMHO.

I can only comment on my experience,
in the gipsy (1.6 td) on the way from germany
averaged 26 mpg. treated a couple of times with redex
stuff.. now i get 31.5mpg. dont know if its that stuff OR
i am driving the truck better.
as mentioned before, it cant make it worse can it!
