Gutter trim adhesive

The black plastic guttering trim on the drivers "A" post (between the windowscreen and drivers door) was loose so I took it off before it fell off itself. I have tried glueing it back on with evostick contact adhesive which was no good. Can anybody recommend something better? It seems that VW originally used a rubber mastic.

Sikaflex is the stuff you need, this can be had from most decent auto parts shops....

Alternatively Tigerseal which even Halfrauds sell now, though you can get budget versions of these polyurethane sealants in most decent autofactors for less than half the price of the name brands.
