Right the time has come for Val to be serviced, she needs a little TLC and at the moment I'm just not technically minded enough to tackle it myself.

I had some work done at a well known VW specialist in Manchester but was not really happy with the job they did, I won't mention any names here because I don't think my one bad experience is a true reflection of them, however it has really put me off going back there.

I have found a place called Busgutz in Macclesfield, has anyone had any dealing's with them, they are only 15 mile's from me so not a bad option.

My other option is to go and see Simon Baxter in Huddersfield, it's a bit further away at about 35 miles but I could always get the train home if needs be.

What do people think, where should I go? Does anyone have any other suggestions?

We have a 1982 leisuredrive hightop fitted with a 1.6NA Diesel

Thanks guys

well worth the travel to Simon's (Brickwerks). He has always fixed mine whilst I have waited (5 hours last time)

He is /was booked up until November but you will know it's been done right with quality parts

Just checked, it's 42 miles to Gasure so that's still not too bad. I think it may be best to phone them both up for quotes and lead times

That's this afternoon's activity sorted then
