Looked in wiki, search & other web stuff & seemed to have conflicting ideas about correct internal dia of fuel hose. Can't get 7mm as suggested in one post, 5 as on a bay seemed small so thought 6mm decent injection type best? any tips on special care, thanks.T

6mm good quality fuel hose will do just fine.
Try to avoid after market braded fuel hose, as some of it has been found to be of poor quality.

Most of the hose on my DG is 5.6mm injection hose.. 6mm is too loose..

It probably won't help - it's been pointed out to me that the Solex isn't the right carb for a DG anyway.

I know but she runs well on it and do i really want to go to the trouble of fitting a s/h worn out pierburg.......Mr petit suggested may be pos to set up a Dellorto frda on modified maifold from 2e3 carb to suit but frankly since she works so well whats the point- of course until the solex goes wrong and i cant get a rebuild kit. God i hate those obsolete bits and bobs. I am looking into other possibilities for when she dies already like 8v 2ltr gti eng or perhaps scooby 1.8. cheers

I just swapped my engine and the replacement's fuel pump had a larger diameter pipe, had a devil of a job getting the existing fuel feed pipe on but got there in the end ( soap helps

)

Is that common sense or pessimism
