Hi

with winter approaching - the season for dampness and rust - what is the opinion on a waterprooof breathable outdoor cover.

Do they actually help or just trap damp air around the van and rub the paint off the corners as they flap in the wind?

Does anybody make such an item?

My van is a T25 Autosleeper Trident.

Any info on this would be helpful thanks

Don't cover it... Use it

I have used a cover on my Auto Sleeper (hi top) for a few years.
Originally had a ProTec Cover. Fine at first but then it started to leak and the material failed after about 3 years. It was fitted 24/7 for 2+ years as the van was off the road.
Have just taken delivery of one from www.carcoversuk.com. Not fitted yet but looks ok. I think Purple Line do one and there are others around. Just google 'caravan covers' or similiar.
Check if the cover is 'water resistant' or 'waterproof'. Most have a side panel so access to the van is no problem.
You will get some condensation at times depending on the weather but they do keep the muck off. For me one of the main plus points is that they will act as 'garage'. Handy when windows are out or protection for dying paint etc. etc.
