We got ours off german ebay as we have a lhd as it's harder to get the right one to fit here. But it arrived and it's even brown to go with the rest of it!! Cost us £35 plus £17p+p

without a "dash tidy" your dash is tidy as nothing fits on it and slides off.......so by fixing a piee of plastic you turn it into a dah untidy........why?

blue pop, square crsips, dash untidies are all wrong diddly wrong wrong

IIRC the ones from JK were a bit 'not so good' i had a feeling someone was going to make some, there was some talk of it at VF last year, cant remember what happened about it though.
I'm sure someone who knows will be along soon.

Noomo talked to the man who used to make the good ones, there being only the good ones and the not so good ones available in RHD. They discussed what it would take for production of the good ones to be worthwhile again, there was a brief flurry of activity (three folk said they wanted one) and then it died from lack of interest.

Many folk have made their own dash untidys, some buy the not so good one you can still get and I've even heard tell of people chopping up the nice LHD one and converting it though I've never seen one.

I agree with Flibit, the best dash tidy is a light coat of silicon spray just to ensure that anything non magnetic placed on the dash slips quickly to the floor.

Ok
Thanks to all, I think I get the message, ill probably make a box to go between the seats to house all the niff naff, and polish the dash.

Probably the best way, my dash has never been so untidy since getting a dash tidy. Keep your eyes open for one of the old ones, breakers might come up with them sometimes.

The dash tidy attracts things because in their infinite wisdom VW designed the glove compartment to be the smallest and weakest structure know to man. Capable of holding one pair of gloves or items weighing less than 0.0001g

I've got one from JK, on my LHD Westy, fits fine, just means you can't use the ash tray.

Quality seems fine too, and they give you all the bits including the drill bit to fit it.
