the question is does any body do 2 inch adapters or one inch spacers which do you think will work has anyone had the same problem

It's all about wheel offset.

Depending on which 944 wheels you have the offset varies and your PCD adapters may/may not be deep enough to pull the wheel away from the suspension arm.

You should be able to find an ET number on the rear of the wheel. PM me with your findings and I can tell you how much they really need spacing and how best to achieve it.

I've found that production variances means some Porsche wheel/adapter combinations need a little extra clearance.

I'd normally use a 25mm spacer on Porsche rims. I have seen PCD adapters ranging from 21-27mm in thickness (advertised as 25mm).

Couple that with a worn van, varying ride heights, tyre sizes and 944 wheel offsets you do get the odd one that catches.

A 5mm spacer on the front usually does the trick :D
