Hi, I've got an 81 Devon and whilst on hols in wales last month (vans 1st trip) the wipers came loose on the spindle. No probs i thought, just give it a tweak, possibly clean the splines out etc. On both sides the thread is stripped. I cant tighten or remove the nuts, they're just spinning. Cant even see if its the spindle or the nuts that have gone. Anyone got any tips on at least getting the nuts off? Wipers not gripping at all now and was hoping to go away again at the end of the month.

Any suggestions very welcome.

change wiper assembly,its not what you want to hear but itll be right when finished,dont bother trying to bodge it either,cj.
