Basic facts needed by someone new to LPG

Can one of you point me to some basic LPG conversion info. What I'm looking for is:
1) How much should I budget to spend on a conversion?
2) Which manufacturers/ suppliers make the best conversions
2) What difference will it make to owning and running my T3.
3) Which engine is best for conversion? I haven't bought a van yet.
My appologies for asking for information that is likely to been discussed here before. I have been reading through the threads, but so much of it seems quite detailed and specific.
Thanks

1. speak to
www.gasure.uk. - around £1000
2.Gasure.uk
2.it will more than half the cost of running, thats the only difference, apart from taking up a small amount of storage space for the tank
3.any of the petrol ones...... DJ (2.1 wbx) is nice with LPG, and most economical
can i ask, why two number 2's?

hey there, just thought id chirp in, i work in a land rover specialist garage, and i come accross LPG conversions quite often, but for all the wrong reasons. as good as it is to save money, LPG burns a lot hotter than petrol, and the damage it causes to the land rovers we have in for repair far outways the savings you get from doing it. engine rebuilds are typical, cat converter replacements are regular. not uncomon to have a few melted pistons in som engines where the gas pools and burns uneven. just a thought

not relevant in this case, landrovers have inline upright engines, not flat 4 boxers........ and they aint german made.......
yes, LPg burns slightly hotter, but in a correctly set up and installed system on a VW flat 4 wont cause the same issues upright inline engines suffer.....
