I have seen on here lots of refernce to fitting a GTI steering wheel to my '89 T25. I came across a wheel from an 90 GTI, though it didn't fit.

How have you fitted them? Did they require a modifed steering wheel boss?

Any advise gratefully recieved!!!

i think you might need an early gti wheel as vag fitted a adaptor to double the size of the splined shaft for the steering column!
so you'll be after a wheel off any vw car upto 1987 as they changed over about 87/88 (this was for the new 90spec seris vw brought out kind of a facelift if you like)
audi ones fit although im not sure of years/types mines got a polo 3 spofe jobbie! looks better than the biggun!

I have a GTI steering wheel on mine (83) looking for a swop 4 a good stock wheel, interested ?

I do have the steering wheel, not in great shape though.
