We have a freview box, (being too tight to pay for satelite) but the reception here is not that good so only get a few channels.

I have freeview in the camper, you need a good antenna to get all the channels and a lot of out the way places (I mainly camp in Scotland) are not covered. To check in advance go to http://www.freeview.co.uk/ and put in the postcode of the campsite.

The good thing is when it does work the picture is crystal clear and there's a better choice than analog TV.

have seen the 12v ones in currys/dixons places... as low as £35.
i live in an area with no coverage by all accounts, but still get 80%
see if you can borrow one first, then use hook-up in the van, then you will def know...(i did and in wales, got nowt)!
