Autohomes Komet or Kameo?

A Kameo has appeared on FleaBay... though it's stated as a 4 berth.
I thought Kameo's were two berths? So is it really a Komet?
Plus, should the back of the bed and back of the wardrobe have bits there, that aren't?

Hi we own a kameo and ours is not the same as the one shown
ours has a lower back part to the roof with a rack on it.
So not 100% sure but i dont think thats a Kameo

I am pretty sure that that is a Komet, the seat back is ok and there should be a curtain, on the tailgate that covers the open part of the wardrope.

Hello,
it looks exactly the same as our Komet. And it all looks correct to me.

Hi
That IS a Komet. The Kameo is 2-berth with a lower rear section to the Hi-Top. Also the Kameo is not fitted with the ladder on the rear tailgate.

I thought all Komet's of that age : 'F' 1987/8 - had the blown air heating?
Just can't see the knob in it and the seller says he doesn't know!
So, all Komet back of beds look like that? Seeing the gubbins?
And the wardrobe needs a curtain? It should have that big gap?

Looking around at pictures:
Am confused by the Autohomes' interiors:
Like this:

Whereas some Komets look like this:

Anyone explain? Both the same age. I thought Propex was standard on the Komet?

'Komets' were fitted as a series of options. If you wanted blown air heating, they'd fit it; if not they'd leave it out. The 'Zig' was an option too, as was the built in television, so even though they are all 'Komets', it depends what the original owner specified Autohomes fitted.
(I'm not just a pretty face y'know

Check the non slider side lower sill (behind the fridge) this is a massive problem on this conversion.....
my brothers going through it now.

To be fair it's a problem with all conversions. My leisuredrive one was in a heck of a state. I have noticed that this particular area is also prone to the rustmonster even on working panelvans that haven't been converted.

We've got an autohomes of some description - not sure what it is as its fitted to a van with the genuine original VW hightop (the type that Holdsworth used), not an aftermarket Autohomes hightop, and is pretty basic... and pretty knackered too. I had to replace the drivers side lower panel last year along with the outer sill, sill top close out panel and had to patch up the inner sill

but this may be due in part to the sliding window leaking due to it being fitted upsidedown at some point in the past
