ISV/ISU help ?!?!?!?

Righto , further to previous 3 posts with regards to engine............

Have had the engine set up and mixture was way out and timing was WAY out! Getting better everytime something is done to it , but.........

I still *think* something maybe amiss. When it idles it is almost there is a very very slight miss-fire (but theres not). From reading other posts it apears it might be ISV/ISU related.

I cleaned the ISV last week and it was full of cack.At the time when i pulled the plug off the ISV the engine cut out! (Since then i have cleaned/readjusted/re-set everyting to factory spec BTW)

The engine runs when the ISU leads are plugged into the unit , also when they are disconnected from unit and connected. When i pull them off when the engines running ,it stops.

When i pull the lead off the ISV , nothing happens (unlike last week).Should it cut out ? I can hear/feel it buzzing. Does not cut out,or idle change. When i by-pass the ISU the idle dosnt alter either.

Aditionally what makes me think the ISV isnt opening is that my LPG wont run at all on idle unless i screw the manual power valve in until the gas is virtually cut off (install is all 100% ok though) as if it is running really rich as its not getting air from the ISV.

Doing my swede now and seeing as my chap isnt a VW tech (who the feck is these days ? ) my recently finished gas install wont work.I need to get it sorted before he can set up the gas side.

HELP!

AAV (auxilliary Air valve) should only drop the revs when the engine is cold, it shouldn't do much when warm.
if you clamp the hose when the engine is hot and the revs drop, it's leaking.
if you clamp it and it cuts out, the idle speed is too low, and the AAV is leaking..
