this is sold to us as an accesory kit to adapt our 2 bike rack to four bikes, got mine , it consists of an extra 2 runners for the bike wheels and two arms to clamp your 2nd and 4th bike in place, all great and of fantastic quality. now i may be stupid(i am sure a few people on here will agree ) but there is no extra space for the 4th bike. how does it work? i have made an extra hoop that bolts to the existing three runners to make up the extra space,ieanother300mm. i spoke to jk and nobody had any knowledge of bike racks  now i do not want to say jk are wrong here as maybe i have got it wrong and i have had a lot of stuff from them that is fine so do not want put them down, but buyer beware.

you can make it into a three bike rack but not four.

there is no such thing in Fiammas catalogue for a T25

also, even though there is room for 3 bikes on the rack, I struggle actually getting 3 bikes on as the peddles and handlebars etc get in the way of each other. can't imagine trying to get 4 on!

The two horizontal arms unbolt and slide out to make space and fixings for 4. We bought one for our VR6 T4, and have converted it to fit on our Kangoo Trekka. 4 bikes will fit on, but it is like a a puzzle, and fairly infuriating. We find that you have to lower seats, and get the pedals facing down so that they fit underneath the next bikes bottom bracket, you can fit 4 on no probs. Having two is much easier though.

The knack is the old Left Right Left combination, pedals at the bottom ... smallest bike on the inside facing one way, next smallest next facing the opposite way and finally the largest bike facing the same way as the smallest.

I also use a chain and padlock through all the bikes and round the rack crossbar ... security, but also in case the straps come loose.

We have had 4 bikes ( full suspension mountain bikes) on a T25 with the extra rack for the third bike.

We simply removed saddles and went front to back with three of the bikes.

The fourth bike we turned upside down and rested the handlebars across 2 of the trays and nestled the bike between bike 2 and bike 3. A few bungee cords and your sorted.

We have also hung a kiddies bike off the third bike on the back as the fourth bike.

We mostly just have the 2 trays for 2 bikes and hang anything else off the bikes or nestle it between the two bikes.

I have even nestled the drive away awning between the two bikes to save space inside the bus.

i have had 4 on my 3 bike rack, like Mr T'Hulley says, left right, aligning the sizes to fit best....... i also found i can 5 van wheels , or a DG engine , or a full spragmans or a kingsize bed, or all sorts of general luggage on mine....... infact, i hardly ever use it for bikes........

had another look on jk,s web and it is deffo for four bikes. maybe the newer rack is extendable as some have said. anyway next year i am going to book the trailer on the ferry so i can take the kites, windsurfer, surf canoe, kitebuggy and board. we had a couple of days near quiberon on the brittany coast , it is a great beach, fantastic surf for the kayak, realy flat hard sand for landboarding with kite, and some great free camping. got to get back soon.

This is the JK supplied Fiamma 4 bike rack. It is a quality bit of kit as JK have not made it themselves

The slide out bit I think only relates to a 3 to a 4 or a 2 to a 3, if you see what I mean.

You cant beat a trailer though, that bit of Brittany sounds great. Not been there yet, as the temptation to get South has been too strong.
We have off set some of the gutters that the wheels sit in, to help the fit of the bikes, and we find that the straps for the gutters will not go over a 2.5 tyre as on the GT.

In the box it was set up as a 3 bike carrier, the extra plank was loose, we had to unbolt the planks, which allowed the horizontal rail to slide out one extra space, and the fitting of 4 planks. You can see where it slide out from on the first photo, between 2 and 3, where the red collar is.

Does this not apply to the T25 3 bike carrier one???? :?

nope. the carrier is too short. and there is no extendible section.

also you have to see how the rack in the photo fits to the back of the car...im not sure its set the right height for fitting on to the back of the van.

Our 3 rack fits the rear door frame the same but it then also hooks under the rear door (so you can still open the door WITH NO BIKES ON).

Dont try and open the door fully loaded..

1) you bugger your back

2) you bugger the door hinges

3) you cant do anything as your holding hte door up

4) you bugger your back.
