silly question time......
i have a 1.6 petrol engine, does that fact that the rubber seal is no longer joining the engine to the body have any significance?
do i need to fix this, or doesn't it matter?

The idea of the seal is to stop the hot air that the engine throws out underneath, being able to come back up into the fan. So it is a good idea to get as good a seal as possible.
