Hi

I have just brought a JK 8-way Aux fuse box and I want to wire it up to my leisure battery but dont know how.

I would have thought that I would need to wire the fuse box directly to the new battery and then run all the electical items such as lights and cig sockets from this.

OK, Am I right. Can you just connect the fuse box straight to the battery or is there something else I need?

Also, and if this is the case do I need an inline fuse on the live wire and what ampage should it be? And what ampage should the wire be. I intent to run 4 cig sockets (would only use 2 at a time probably), and 12 low watage led lights.

Cheers for any advice in advance

If you wire the fusebox straight to the battery then link all the connectors on one side of the fusebox together you will have +12v on each outlet. I normally place an inline fuse of about 20amps between the battery and the fusebox just to be on the safe side . It depends what you want to run off it . I would lay two or three strips of gaffertape under the fusebox before you mount it and use insulated terminals when you connect to the fusebox. I would suggest that you think about the fuse ratings carefully and dont just stick 30amps in all the slots .

Any further questions just PM me
