t25 pistons

hi can someone tell me the differance between the 2.1 dj pistons & the 1.9 digijet pistons think iv,e just fitted the wrong ones logbook says
vehicle is a 2.1 dj turns out its a 1.9 could not find any id on engine
wiki says its on top near the distributer . (can,t find it) measured the
sroke to confirm it,s a 1.9 any info apreciated

The engine number is on the rear face of the block directly below the breather tower, partly obscured by the alternator bracket.

thanks for the info but none of that tells u the physical differance of the
of the pistons but i got the info from steve at gasure the 2.1 pistons are
2mm shorter than the 1.9 ones and when fitted will give u lower compresion

Yes 2.1 pistons on a 1.9 rank will give you very low CR.. it will run but will be pants..
The easiest way to tell (if the heads are off) is to put a piston to TDC, if the piston is still in the barrel by 3mm ish then its wrong.. they come close to the top of the barrel..

If you have an old piston and fit a gudgeon pin in 1 side then slide the new piston on the other end the height will be plain to see..
