:D Hiya,
I have a 1985 1.9 petrol hi top with a sliding window on the offside where a cooker unit would be. This has what I can only describe as furry looking strips acting as tracks for the glass. The bottom one beneath the glass has rotted away and water now pools in the track.

Anyone know where to get new ones or a suitable alternative? Tried JK who dont do em and Woolies but their velvet covered rubber track is that fits the frame is too tight on the glass so it then cant move.

Any ideas gratefully received.

Cheers
Jamie

When I did a refurb on my sliding window the felt track was shot like yours and I used some 1 inch black webbing I had, probably polyester - stuck it down with some suitable glue and it's been fine for the last few years.

:D Cheers for that. The other thing i thought of using was some window track felt. Do you have any issues with the window being able to be opened from outside the way you did it?

No, it proved to be about the same thickness as the felt - the sliding section cannot be lifted out and performs as before.
