Just put a new filler cap on and filled for the first time. Water pump is whirring but no water. Any idea's? Cheers.

Is it a submersibe? Supposed to shake em in the water to remove any air. If its a Diaphragm type, (these click not whir though?), then it will probably need priming.

Holdsworth pumps like to be primed... suck the pipe while it's pumping
or fit a fiamma/whale self prime pump (found on Autosleepers

)

Excellent advice, Revster.
Check that the pipe from the pump to the tap has not become disconnected at the pump end. That happened in my previous van.
Incidentally, that was a Holdsworth.

Thanks for your replies but the tank is leaking and the drain tap doesn't work so will have to wait for it to slowly drain itself. Then take it off and have a look. Will repair if possible or ditch it and gain some ground clearance.

Don't you have a tap on tank for emptying?
