Hi Guys and Gals, I have a early bus 1982. Recently my slinding door handle cracked, I have bought a replacment handle and would like to swap the barrell over. I just can't work out how the bugger comes out.
All the items I can find on the subject seem to be for the later handles.
There seems to be a very small hole on the side, but I am a little hessitant to go sticking things in there !
Have pics, but being new to these here forum type things, have no idea how to add them.

Tiny grubscrew on the top or bottem of the handle where it goes through the door - might be invisable but if you scrape it gently with a small screwdriver you'll dig the dirt out that conseals it.

Sorry to hi-jack this thread but I have fitted a new door handle to the old girl but for some reason she does not lock and the little plastic knob on the inside just goes up and down without doing anything
(oh never had a handle since I brought it!)
