Get a Tom Tom, getting around Paris is a pain in the backside, but not so bad from Calais to Euro disney.

Take the time, if you can, to N road it. Thats where proper France is. (not on the peage)

Hi ya, we went earlier this year (2 adults +3 kids under 10 ) by booking it our selves using all the same hotels, and airline as a travel agent would use,,,,,for just less than 900 quid for 5 nights..
And seeing as we live just inland from Liverpool it sounded to me to be a good deal.....

Anyway,The Motor home parking is a good few minutes from the main park entrance (some of it under cover and with moving walk ways like the airports) so if you have young ones who get tired you can hire push chairs at the shop on the right just inside the entrance to the park,,, but keep hold of the one you first get and use it all the time you are there.

The 'tat' sellers who swamp 'No mans land' the area just in front of the train station can be easily convinced their illuminated Eiffel Towers and key rings are worth a fraction of what they are asking,, :D

Any thing on the studio tour is worth having a go on, but I would avoid the special effects tour if you have very small kids as one of ours still goes on about the flames and the water and that was 6 months ago.....

The tower of terror ride is NOT to be missed and is worth the entrance money alone,,,,,,,but I was impressed with the Aerosmith coaster for some insane reason.
Also the Disney animation and character drawing sessions are brief but worth having a go at..... :D

Try not to miss the Stunt Spectacular Show, if for nothing else to see and hear 'How it is done' in French and for everyone else English....the show its self is very very good...

Crushes Coaster is worth queing up for, but the 'Cars' ride is some what dissapointing, and McQueen and Mater can only be photographed properly if you go on the ride.....

The Disney Village was Very expensive for meals and the choice was limited, the we found it best to have a meal in any one of the hotels as they had a far better selection of meals/foods of the world all set out in buffet style,,,,,,,eat what you want and as much as you want,,,,,,,,,.The Buffalow Bill show was simply out of our price range, so we didn't even bother with that....

If you love the Disney Ideal nothing will dissapoint, take your time to read the scroll below the bronze figure of 'Mickey' in front of the Main entrance, as well as all the tiles on the floor with family names on them (if they are still there).

The Parades are stunning, the setting is magical and you can get carried away with the whole thing.
Our kids spent most of the time on the Racing cars opposite Space Mountain which pi$$ed me off a bit a there is one of those at Blackpool,,
The Buzz light year ride is also worth waiting for, but Not the 3D Futurescope thing behind the Space mountain,,,,,,small kids tend the "pooh" during the perfromance .

Any ride you really fancy such as the popular roller coasters etc , I would use the 'Fast Track' system as it just save all the hanging about waiting.

I wouldn't bother with the Hot Air Balloon thing as it is an extra and only lasts a few minutes.

I hope I have been able to help you with some ideas,,,,,,,have a good one

Regards

Fritz,,,,,,,,,,

PS, best tip I can offer is Don't rush there in a morning, as all the fools do that and then burn out just after lunch,,,,,,,remember you are on holiday chill out turnout late to the parks coz you will wait a lot less for rides once the masses start making for the exits once they start getting hungry.....

Hi m8

We have done the trip round and throughg paris several times. My best advice is avoid the peripherique (paris inner ring road) its a race track and a parking lot. Particulalry at peak times and saturdays.

There is an outer ring road which with a tom tom is easy enough to navigate, less stressful and slightly more pleasant to drive.

The last thing you need is an hour stuck in hot smoggy paris on a ring road you cant get off.

Apart from that..everything else is a breeze...enjoy your break.

I think we might get the metro into Paris as driving in sounds a stressful way of spending a holiday. Thanks for your info, I'll make notes of it before I go.

We go to fontainbleau every year at easter which is about 60miles south of paris..if its raining we usually get the metro in and visit a few sights...

metro is cheap and easy to use..stations everywhere and most big stations have a tourist information help box..with a bloke who speaks english to help identify which coloured line is best to jump on...

we just get a rover ticket which enables you to travel in all zones (bit like the london underground zones) and it enables you to roam free.....

tip for visiting paris in a day - choose 3 points of interest only and target them alone... dont try to do too much...you will only get disapointed and feel rushed all the time. Also allow for queues everywhere...even on a tuesday morning at 9.30am expect to queue for 40 mins to get up the eifel tower or get into a cathederal...

still worth the effort...
