im in need of a new gasket/ seal for the engine bay. the stuff that fits onto the tinware to keep heat and fumes out of the bay.
any ideas on where to get something, or make something that will do the job??
the one ive removed is like a type of foam but im told its not original. i pretty much destroyed it getting it off for some urgent welding.

im not sure if you can get the original stuff, but i have seen the pipe lagging stuff used before now, from B&Q for lagging 1/2 inch copper water pipes kinda stuff.......

thats a damn good idea steve and i think ive got some.
