Dash Fan + Dash Tidy = problem

I've got an OE style dash tidy and have just bought the JK chrome fan. But where to mount the fan is a bit of a headscratcher.
The dash tidy seems too flimsy to screw the fan to as it's quite heavy and will end up wobbling around like Mr Wobbly Man when driving.
Thought about long screws that go all the way thru the dash tidy and into the dash - could be too fiddly though, and too hard to get all the holes aligned properly. I also thought about getting some kind of mounting bracket fabricated to mount the fan to the front of the dash, on the vertical part, so that it still stands vertically...
Does anyone have a better solution? Surely I'm not the only person who's got both of these items...
