Hi

Does anyone know where i can get an oil pressure tester. my local halfrauds and other independent parts shops just look blank and offer me a dash mounted oil pressure gauge.

you can borrow mine for the cost of the postage and a pint, it will fit a wbx no problems, took me ages to find one that would as the ones with snap connectors are no good as you can't unsnap them once insitu, I got it from America in the end.

When I had my ECU problem at one stage I needed to check my fuel line pressure. My mate was horified when I seached amongst my junk box of air pressure guages as he was sure liquid required a different guage than air. I had to explain to him that any air in the system would compress up until the relevent pressure was reached and then the fuel (read oil) pressure would be indicated. I see the problem with checking ol pressure as finding something which will screw into say, the oil pressure switch thread. Of course if you have access to a lathe you can adapt an old switch. Ovr £100 seems a lot of money for such a simple tester!
