Viscous Coupling

I will be travelling through Germany in September I hope, and I'm looking to buy a new VC (Visco Kuplung) as mine is considered aggressive and I would prefer to have a functioning VC than a coupling?

These are the places that I have found you can buy a new VC from; Busschmiede and Bernd Jager who have them in stock, and Beetles & Co. (Thomas Koch) & Gunzl Classic Parts (VW Bus Shop) have to order them in.

Who else would have them in stock to buy off the shelf? or are there any other suppliers that you could recommend?

Regards,
Ralph

Hi Ralph,

you mentioned all sources. You can buy them at Volkswagen Classic Parts too, but they are very expensive there.

If its "tight" then you need to drop the propshaft if you havent already.. especially when going on a long run...

You could always fit a "decoupler" as the tight vc is better for offroad..

Aidan has a good deal on decouplers...
