Sent my covers down to http://www.efoam.co.uk/ and they came back full of foam. Just under £100 for three bits. Good web site lets u work out the price so you can get a good comparison.

Careful with efoam link. i just tried and when clicked on 'foam cut to size' i got a virus warning and connection aborted.

cheers didnt get the warnign but a bit 8 inches by 32 by 72 was £102 in firm foam!

I just wondered if anyone had tried 3" memory foam? only they are £50 to £60 on amazon. would it work?

Have heard that 2-3" memory foam over 2-3" firm foam works a treat. Haven't tried it myself mind, but have slept on 2" memory foam topper on a nice firm mattress and it was great, so makes sense to me.

My parents have got the memory foam over the firm foam as mentioned by Lloyd and mum says it's more comfy that her Tempur bed at home!

They got both the firm foam and memory stuff from the same guy as Poseidon. Step-dad reckons it's good quality and was cheap, especially the memory foam.

Hi Bev, have you rough idea of the thicknesses of each one used please

The thick foam is 4 inch blue foam and the memory foam is 2 inch. If you phone Mark and tell him what your requirements are, he tells you what you need apparently.

Just phoned my stepdad and apparently you've got to have the proper stuff underneath to make the topper work efficiently. They just lay the memory foam topper on top of the r & r bed when it's down for the night as if you sit on it all the time it will break down too quickly apparently.

I believe I have memory foam in my R&R bed and I am not sure I like it. It seems to mould to your shape and prevent you from naturally rolling about in your sleep. I find this particularty uncomfortable in the hot weather. Does anyone else have these thoughts which of course would meet with howls of dismay and accusations of herasy in the bed industry?

Have heard this from others.. that is hot sleeping in hot weather. But no other complaints.
