Yep, as above, Try to peel the plastic off like removing a sticker, this will then probably leave the actual tint on the window, then use a blade and carefully scrape the window.. (pound shops sell special scrapers which are good for this.)
Then thiners to finish the clean up...

I have often wondered if you could use Nitromors or similar to remove the tint. It wouldn't affect the glass but manages to turn everything else it touches to goo!
Just wondered if anyone else has tried this as i'm thinking of doing it on my rear window.

Well if you have a heated rear window, it will make short work of the heater strips too. I trust you're taking the glass out to do this?

Hi,

I used a portable steam vapour cleaner & it made the job pretty easy! Just play the steam over the tinted film to soften, then catch an edge & peel away. Just took longer over the rear heated screen in order not to damage heating elements. Once you have removed all the film, slowly soften the remaining glue/residue with the steam once again & polish it off with a microfibre cloth.

End result was sparkling clean screens! :D

Yeah, window out and no heater strips so I'm guessing it may be ok. Could be useful for side windows too if it works... I'll have to come back to this post to let you know how it goes. :D

No! Wrong idea. :(

Leave the window tint alone & spray the van purple. :D
