I have set of old style Wolfrace slot alloys that Iam refurbishing slowly
Size 14 x 7j
What size tyres will I need to maintain the original spec rolling radius. ?
PS I know about car tyres/sizes but these van tyres seem to be a bit of a mystery to me !!
cheers

Factory wheels are 5 1/2Jx14, or 6x14 for the factory alloy wheels. This means the rim is 5 1/2 inches wide and 14 inches in diameter.
overall diameter is 654mm
this is with a 185 X 82 X 14" (185X14C) standard wheel and tyre for a panel
I'm unsure as to whether the rim would clear the supension with a 14" X 7J
what is the PCD of these wheels, and also, do you know what the offset is?
there's a good thread in Modified as to wheels

My westy is on the genuine 14" VW alloys.
Its got 205/70/14 fitted as standard, but they are a bit of a pain the a*** to find the tires.

A 215/70X14 would be a good fit... but I think nobody makes them now

thanks for all of the help
I have looked at these closely and it sems that thay have been plugged and re-drilled
ofset 2 are et 11
2 are et 31
I have "tried" on the tyreless front ones ( et 11 ) and the studs/bolts line up OK although they do stick out further than the originals--- but not past the bodywork-- honest officer !!!
think they will look good especially after I lower it a bit
cheers

the 32's are ok but the 11's wont
fit under the arch with the tyres on and lowered...
and some serious stresses on the steering by the way

I was a bit concearned also especially as these have been plugged and re-drilled.
May not use them, as need to be safe with wife and kids in van.
As an alternative and I DONT want plastic wheel trims, what about fitting chrome hub caps ( moon discs way toooo expensive ).
Will original bettle ones fit ?
Do I need a particulat ones especially regarding the depth of the hub cap ?
cheers
Will T2 wheels/hub caps fit straighjt on ???

I have just opened a new thread - "Rate My Custom Wheels & Tyres - Suitable?" for anyone that wants to check out spec/tyre sizes/wheel rim suitability for their van.
Here's a load of bumpf from my wheels and alloys, and I just became in need of some opinions and experience on wheels and alloys!
F88 E1 195/70R/14 90H Radials, max 32psi, 1280 lbs max load, spec 164mm
Cheers!
