Hi

As some will know I am putting a different engine in my crewcab and have been alerted to the fact that when it goes round roundabouts with fuel slush the fuel supply may be affected which my engine will not be happy about and if I get a fuel lock the thing will not start.

So my question is, I know the fuel injected T25s have fuel pumps, does anybody know the PSI they run at and what flow rate they produce?

If this is a suitable pump, are they easily obtainable second hand?

The VW pump has a minimum flow of 500ml a minute and a pressure rating of 30psi. I have just bought a new one from VW as mine corroded under the strap, and was leaking petrol. It was very expensive
The pressure regulator then maintains the pressure at 30psi, by returning less or more petrol back to the tank. I believe the pump would produce significantly more pressure without the regulator. The contents of the tank are being constantly circulated through the fuel filter. I believe the fuel injected tanks have a swirl pot in them, which fills as the fuel sloshes around, maintaining a supply. If the tank was always more than a 1/4 full I would imagine that a standard tank would work, but maybe not so well on a steep hill etc.

You would need to find out what psi you need for the new engine, and could simply replace the fuel regulator with an adjustable one from demon tweaks and all would be well. The vw pump will be good for most engines.

I had not even cosidered installing a fuel injection tank, that would probably solve all my problems and concerns. Lets see how available they are on the wanted section.
