First time I've put my bus through its MOT.
What are the most typical fail points so that I can check it over before I send it in?

Apart from the every day things common to all vehicles....
Front top wishbone rubbers
Metal brake pipe corrosion
O/S/R fog lamp and headlamp beam benders if a lefty
Seat belt anchor points on the arches
Suitability of tyres if you have non standard wheels. ie: wrong load rating, tyres and rims not suitable for a van.
front brake imballance due to seizing callipers
frayed seat belts (because of age)
Corrosion generally (close to load baring points) footplates?
Exhaust emmisions (again due to age and wear)
These are the common ones I would say.

That's good to hear then. Apart from the top rubbers, which I haven't checked yet, I think everything else is OK - certainly I don't have a corrosion issue as lots was apparently done for the last MOT and the body is really solid.
I'll have a good check round, fit my new exhaust, do a basic Gastester check and with luck she'll be OK.
