Hi
Please dont beat me up for asking a daft question but my T25 is a new purchase.
OK I can see two batteries ! The one behind the drivers seat (RHD) is the engine battery and the other the leisure ....so far ?
How do I control which battery is being used (or dont I)? I remember from a friends T25 that there was a zig unit but I cant find one in mine.
Thanks for your patience
Mark

Auto homes have wired the leisure electrics to the leisure battery...
when you turn off the engine a little relay stops the leisure electrics from using the starter battery.
the zig unit is the name of a charger that charges your leisure battery, when on hook up to the mains.
hope this helps

the zig should be up above the sink somewhere , marked zig , and has switches for 12v., on site , touring etc.

Thanks for the info on the battery. Judging by your answer Kev am I to assume then that I dont have a 'zig' unit ? AND that I dont need to worry about the battery draining because I havent switched something over ?
Thanks

All Autohomes conversions were kitted out using the 'option' principle. If yours hasn't got a 'Zig', it's because whoever paid for the conversion thought it wasn't essential - which it isn't. Mine came without one too. Simple to fit one if you want......finding one's the problem, but as I said ; you don't actually need one.

Please tolerate my ignorance, as I'm a total newbie (not even got the van yet - 5 days & counting!), but if you haven't got a Zig, then the leisure battery is going to run down if you don't drive a decent distance every day, what with the fluorecent lights, sink water pump etc, even if you've got an EHU on site.
So how do you keep it charged? Hook up an ordinary battery charger through the EHU?
I'm sure I'll look back on this question at the end of the year and think: "D'oh! What a bozo!".

tony.... in the winter I would agree, Mine lasts for four days and thats with a propex and a telly.
during the summer then there is more light , more heat.
the pump is not on constant either.
I think with prudence it would last over a week or more.
simple answer is more amps per hour (110 a/h ),
changing the bulbs to LED's...
or as you say a trickle charge overnight, with a normal charger...
or even solar.. while you're off at the beach
