Hi all.

I've searched around and checked through my Haynes manual but can't find any info on the cruise control "feature" that's fitted on my camper.

The campers on a 2.1DJ with the Auto box.

I've got the stick on the S/wheel, but on the ride home with it I tried to set the thing and couldn't make head or tale of it. I think it's another thing that don't work (like the leccy windows and mirrors  ) nothing happens when I press all the buttons

So any pointers on how this should work will be ace...

Get hold of a 'Bentley' manual as all the test/fault finding procedure is covered really well and can be carried by almost anyone.

It would take us a year and a day to try to explain how to do it via this forum.

from what I can figure out on mine, when above 50mph,to select cruise, slide the slider from the right AUS to the left EIN,holding it in place for at least 3 seconds.
Then go to the desired speed and hold down the button on the end of the stalk.(again for a few seconds).
Lift off the gas.....you should now have a very unnerving feeling of complete loss of control!!

You can accelerate by holding down the end button,-very nintendo!
If you accelerate out of the cruise speed with your foot, it "should" return to it.....(mine does and doesn't)

Also after breaking from thr cruise(braking),re holding the slider to the left "should" resume the last set speed....

Is it a genuine VW cruise control or an after market unit.
If it's an after market, what make?

Thanks for the help. Yes it's a factory fitted system by the look of it. I have the stalk but no idea what to do with the slider and buttons.
It may actualy be OK by the seem of it then. I didn't hold buttons in for 3 secs thats for sure.
I'll give this a go on the weekend.
Thanks
