hi, looking to replace exhaust pipes on 2.1 velle or possibly change exsisting set-up ? any advice would be appriecated.

Save up and buy a stainless system from JP Exhausts or LA Performance ... it's a no-brainer though ... £300+ from JK for a mild steel or £470 for a stainless (with lifetime guarantee from JP)

I foolishly visited our local exhaust centre and was quoted over £400 fitted (MS) as they bung on a hundred pound or so for helicoiling the inevitable stripped or broken studs. So I got one (MS) from JK for £250 - shows how prices rise in under two years - and fitted it myself. They were right about the broken studs so unless you are up to it I would check them out for loosening before you decide. If they won't budge don't force them unless you are prepared to go the whole hog if one breaks or strips. I must say the standard set up looks like a tipped up bucket of snakes but once I got going it all worked out OK.
