ok this is really an update .

finished fitting the seats the drivers side took an hour including removing old runners and cleaning up.

they bolt straight onto seat box with m8 bolts and careful positioning.
giving plenty of forward and backward travel.

no modification to the seats at all.

this does entail the removal of the fuel expansion tanks under each wheel arch.
benefits are 2 fold you dont drill the tank doing the rear bolt and you get to replace the perished pipes

oh forgot the 3rd benefit...........

cushty leather seats in your motor for 25 quid .. long live saab..

cheers rob :D

bought them on flea bay.
well actually i got the whole interior for 25 quid. stripped and skipped the rears and now have a bag full of cow skin to cover a buddy seat or something !
this is the important bit............no-one had put in a bid. i think everyone knows you can put 9000 seats in but maybe the 900's have'nt been tried.
perfect height and perfect width.
like i said they have to be positioned carefully so they fit on the seat box but they will.
also the bottom runner spotwelds have to be carefully drilled out or you end up plugging holes on the outer sides of the seat boxes as they come down through the wheel arch. the bloke still has some but not leather.
if you want his number send me a p.m. he also has a coupleof sets of 9000 seats . cheers rob

Hi, when you say you removed the old runners do you mean the orginal T25 runners? If so how did you remve the? Grinder them down?

What i noticed on my saab 900 seats is behind the lever that allows forward and backward movement the mechanism doesnt allow the chair to sit in the seat box, did you get this?

Hi, coincidently I have been looking on this website for a part for the astra.

They break Saabs and may have seats available. Worth a try.

Hope this is useful to someone. :D
