No Dashboard illumination

Hi

The illumination on my dash has stopped working. The warning lights etc are all fine, Its just the 3 bulbs at the top that seem to have gone.

I've checked the fuse in the glove box and removed/checked each of the 3 bulbs, they look OK.

I'm looking to try and replace them. Does anyone know where I could find these types of bulbs? They are the ones that you need to twist 90degrees to remove.

Ive checked both Maplin and Halfords but they dont seem to have them.

Thanks

I would have thought that it is unlikely all 3 bulbs are faulty! More likely loss of connection. If they look okay then maybe try wiggling the connector block that attaches to the dash.

I opened ours and found that the connector block had corroded badly and the contacts had been folded and bent by some numpty before me! Managed to straighten them and am avoiding touching it again!

I could do with a whole new dash as ours is cracked and broken :( Anyone know if these are available anywhere? Need the blue plastic circuit thingy as well!

Yeah I doubt its the bulbs. Will try that tonight.

Also, I read on another post that I might have the dimmer turned all the way down. Will double check that too :-)

:D Mine were out. GSF do em - not dear but more likely not connecting properyl. Try holding the bulbs against the relevant connectors ie the ribbon tape once the dash top is off. You'll probably find they work and its just not touching properyl. Good luck

As previously stated it does seem unusual for all 3 bulbs to have failed. If however you do need replacement bulbs they are £1.18 each + p&p from Brickwerks. :)
