Copper pipe to slave cylinder question

Hi guys n gals
I've checked Wiki and done a search etc. but I can't find anything related to this so here goes:
What's the copper pipe that goes into the slave cylinder called please? We broke down on the way home today and brake fluid is p&ssing out of the union

. I've tried to tighten but it has no effect. Haynes calls it 'hydraulic pipe' but I've done searches on gsf etc and haven't come up with anything.
It's the piece of copper pipe that goes from the hydraulic flexi hose up to the slave cylinder.
Thanks in advance

recon you have named it well enough!
as long as you keep the ends, any motor engineer worth their salt should be able to make you a new one up....... but make sure its the same diameter internally, or the clutch will be heavey if its smaller by much.

Thanks ever so much Mocki, I'll do that in the morning then.
A Flux's recovery people had offered to pick her back up tomorrow and take her to a garage - reckon I can fix this by myself though.

It isn't brake pipe size. It is 6mm so you need to get someone who can flare 6mm hydraulic

Thanks for letting me know the diameter Laurie.
I'm sorry to be a pain asking these questions, but I like to try to do stuff myself if I can.

If you've got an agricultural engineers near you, they should be able to make one up for you at very little cost.
The pipe was originally steel, but the new one is softer 'Kunifer', as there is only moderate pressure involved operating the clutch, this will be more than adequate...as will your copper pipe.
Mine cost just £1 (Sherrifs of Berwick on Tweed) and that was for the pipe/labour.
I've got my own pipe tool now.

Thanks for all the help guys.
I had to go to a pipe specialist in Poole in the end. They made a new one; 2 new unions and pipe in less than 5 minutes at the cost of £4.00.
It's now fitted and the clutch bled and touch wood all is good.
