Hi Guys,

Im starting to think about my AAZ install now.

Just going over some old threads and all the usual web pages - i've started to think about the inlet manifold.

In the past (1.7d to 1Y conversions) conversions i've done, i havent bothered with the inlet manifold issue - i've just done a straight swap with the 1.7d manifold.

For the AAZ i want it just right - so was thinking of grinding away the inside of the JX inlet to match the ports of the AAZ.

Anyone got a good suggestion of a decent tool to use?

I suppose if i "cock" it up i can just fit the AAZ inlet.....

Thanks

Ringo

Dremmel or such like air die grinder?? I've done similar on boat engines used the gasket as a template and then marked out bits that need grinding with perm marker then gently grind away on manifold, you can get away with a slight amount on head but wouldnt suggest it!!
