so, we're all packed up ready to go to anglesey and we're checking the lights on the trailer and we've got no brake lights at all. took trailer off, still no lights. wiggled all connections and checked fuses, no joy.
Nige has the feeling that its the brake light switch - can anyone tell me where its located please?
I wanna go to anglesey!!!!!!

Brake light switch is on the master cylinder. under dash cover
About £5 from local spares shop and about 10 minutes to change.
You just unscrew the old one and quickly screw in the new one.
To check if it this you can short out the connectors on your switch and the brake lights will come on

I've pressed as hard as I can (

)
nigel has just shorted the switch & the lights came on, he's asking me to ask if it leaks brake fluid if you remove the switch?

yes, there is a hole when you have unscrewed it....... but you will only loose a tiny amount when changing switches, if you are going to try cleaning the switch, stick some blu tac over it , but dont let any go in the hole.... or better still get a operative to put their finger over the hole
