evening all, reversing lights on all the time, even when i'm going backwards!!!! any ideas? thanks

Surely it must be the switch itself......... to be found somewhere on the gearbox, I do believe.

IIRC the switching wires are -12vdc, not +12vdc, and so, if they were to be damaged (Insulation damaged) and grounded out the lights would light...... the switch is IIRC on the drivers side of the gearbox

switch is on nearside of gearbox, opposite selector input which is on offside.

That is unless it's an auto trans. Then it's on the shifter box.

thanks everyone will check out that switch on saturday if i can find it!!

changed my switch on friday got one from gsf for about 4 quid, sorted out my reverse lights in a flash ... they now work!!! really easy to do just watch the preasure release of the "nut" got a sonking cut on my elbow where it decided to release witha mighty tug!!!

thanks for the warning but luckily i escaped unscathed!!! ordered one from just kampers, got to collect parcel from citylink tonight only a fiver i hope it does the trick, the old one was fubar, permanently on, probably forgot it was supposed to be a switch!!!
